Well today was Hunter's 3rd Birthday. Crazy how time flies. Three years ago today at 7:57 pm this wonderful little boy entered our lives, not breathing I might add. As you can see by the picture he had to be intubated. When he was born I told Doug to go and take pictures, but the doctor said "No pictures". Totally freaked me out, I couldn't imagine what was wrong with Hunter. He of coarse was rushed to the NICU. Doug kept trying to keep me calm telling me "Heather, you have another baby to push out." A few hours later they let Doug in to see him. When Doug came back this was the picture that he showed me. As you can see he has an IV in his head and no umbilical cord, they took it off to try to get an IV there and when they couldn't, they went for his head. My poor little Hunter. When Doug came back into the OR he told me "I think he has your personality", I asked him why? and he said "because he tried to rip the tube out of his mouth". Doug had no idea how right he was about Hunter.

So much obviously has changed in 3 years. He is perfectly healthy, except for the 2 scars on his head where he had to get glued back together this year. We are currently potty training and he is doing pretty good. He talks a ton and is SOO my clone. Everyday I notice more and more things that he does like me. He is stubborn, loves to snuggle, drives Doug crazy and has no volume control (which is so much fun at church). One big difference though is that Hunter is my little lefty.
Today Hunter wanted pizza, so we picked up some pizza and went to the park. The boys had a lot of fun.
Hunter got several phone calls today from family members wishing him a Happy Birthday. When Doug got home Hunter and Cole opened their presents. The day was weird enough for Cole for him to not get gifts on top of it all. He actually started getting upset that people were calling to talk to just Hunter. The boys played and fought a lot over the toys, neither of the twins would share with Ammon. :(
We got Hunter a small ice cream cake from Kalidoscoops. Hunter got so embaressed when we were singing to him, he covered his face with his hand. He had a lot of problems blowing out the candles, he just kept spitting everywhere, so Doug had to step in to help.
